Re: De-Registration of aircraft

You will need a DA 550 (customs export form) in addition to a F178 or NEP (Bank Forms) if the transaction is higher than R50k. The DA 550, sometimes called the SAD550 is normally supplied to you by the shipping company as proof that the aircraft has left SA. These forms then need to accompany the CA...

Re: Aquilla 582 price

Also check the silver top serial number. There were a few that had an issue with a pin or something on the crank. There is a service bulletin about it. There was also a difference in the crank between the silver and blue top - in particular the crankpin on motors with serial number before 4,172.665 ...

Re: Waar is al die ou manne.

I want to start flying again but my license lapsed a number of years ago and I am also on BP pills so probably wont pass the medical :? Also on BP tablets. Medical no real issue, just a slightly different protocol in that the stress ECG is every medical, and not every second one. Also medical valid...

I still check in now and then too.
Avcom is more active, but activity there has dwindled too.

Not dwindling - in fact about a 6% growth this year in unique visitors.

Re: Almost 6000 members!!!

Yup John, just don't try do it in one foul swoop. phpBB will time out if you try prune any more than 30 user accounts at any one time. also to get rid of accounts that have never logged in, use 0000-00-00 as the 'last active' date.

Re: Almost 6000 members!!!

Sadly less than a third of the 6000 are active (logged in within the last 2 years), and over 1000 have never logged in at all (most probably spammer registrations).

Re: Weight shift training shortage in Eastern Cape.

Nel, that is my understanding too, in that satelites no longer exist. However in PE, the school structure is not the challenge. The school (ATO) exists, it just has no instructors. So as we see it, what we believed to be the hard bit is done and dusted. We just need the body now to do the teaching. ...

Re: Micro instructor required

Nope, the instructor that was to work for John, ended up with some issue that prevented him from continuing. So we have a registered school but no instructors. So if you are instructor rated let us know or contact John Huddlestone directly. It is a long way to East London or elsewhere to get our ren...

Re: WWW Showcase 2015

That is an interesting perspective AWACs. Just thinking aloud now the fact that the 'recreational buck' is under sever pressure, does it make sense to invite your competitors that all want part of that buck? Probably as with anything - pros and cons. Those with plenty of recreational spend may well ...
