Re: Flying for reward - consequences of being illegal
Bundy, I think the sooner that issue can be laid to rest with the ATOs, the better. My take on the SAHPA situation is that the Tandem issue bears some similarity, in that they knew they had a hot potato and never really addressed the flying for reward issue. I would bet on my bottom dollar that may ...

Re: Flying for reward - consequences of being illegal
Where this has relevance in the Micro fraternity is that long debate had some time ago on the boundaries or differences between introductory flights and flipping. Has this been resolved yet?

Any chance of pics and google location? We have a house at the dam, but only get there every few years - just too far to drive from here.

Flying for reward - consequences of being illegal
http://www.avcom.co.za/aerocont/?p=236 As can be seen from the story - from the operators, to our AROs to the SACAA, can all be in the doo doo and held accountable. I am guessing, but I think there may be some similarities between SAHPA's position and MISASA regarding being knowledgeable as to some ...

Re: Badplaas
I drove my Fortuner down the one at Vygeboom about a year ago, and I would not put anything down there. It is really rough. Check with PJL on AvCom - he goes to the dam regularly and also advised to stay away from the strip.

I used my flying suit for skiing(/falling). It is a flight suit I originally purchased for Paragliding. Worked 100%.

Re: PETROL FILTERS.......AGAIN!! But please look
The glass one is a no no. They leak and you will suck air in. They either vibrate loose, or the rubber washer gets eaten by the fuel and perishes. Had a number of trikes that had them fitted, and there was about a 90% failure rate. At the time when we researched it - it came out that they were meant...

Re: Aquilla PAX 4 point harness... any ideas?
Speak to Solo Wings Bundy. I had a set fitted on my Aquilla when I purchased it second hand. Did not have kids at the time so removed them - but will soon have to be refitted - my little guy is also getting close to the age of accompanying me.

Well done on getting it down safely.
What caused the dislocation? Was it that turbulent, or was this a result from an existing condition?

Re: Misasa Airfields Guide....great idea or waste of time?
Excellent mulderpm - the thinking moves forward vhpy In my opinion to get people to provide/update the info requires the following: 1) The web site must be simple and user friendly, like a template with fields to be filled in ..some mandatory and others not Open to suggestions on the Airpotiki inter...

Re: Misasa Airfields Guide....great idea or waste of time?
Correct Bundy - the information gathering and upkeep is most definitely the issue. No app/website, existing or new, will solve that, so to create a new one will be throwing good effort after bad. As far as privacy goes on contact details - not too sure that is a huge issue - most allow their details...
