Re: Vodacom Archived Numbers - Beware

With the amount of client churn and the explosion of connected devices requiring connectivity - it is probably inevitable that you will end up with a recycled number. Easiest way is to block those senders and callers via your contacts application - then you never hear from them again even if they do...

OpenCart is also a great application with both PC and Tablet support. We use it to run the shop on AvCom. http://avcom.co.za/shop/

What did you use to cut the hosing? First time I ever cut hosing used a hacksaw to do it  Ended up with the bits you speak off. From that point forward - only use a stanley knife.

Re: Help with Pop-Up and Crap on internet

Malwarebytes is the winner. About 95% success with the machines I have used it on. @Bundy - I only used to get faulty Scope Mags. Had the blerdy star virus. Was told to take the one edition and soak the relevant pages in water and the star virusses would automatically detach themselves. Well water d...

John, try a open source product called phplist. Manages the bounces for you too, and has the unsubscribe option which is required by many of the service providers to fit in with their Acceptable Usage Policies (AUP) for bulk mailings. We use it on our server and get around 12 000 newsletters out qui...

Although an old thread - looks like someone may be doing something: Posted on AvCom ( http://www.avcom.co.za/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=234&t=125690#p1356154 ): We are looking for a microlight/trike instructor in Port Elizabeth/Uitenhage. We will subsidize sustainability by helping with conversion on to...

Re: Proposed A.D.M. Training Discussion

We did offer a formal course at AFC for a 'spouses safety pilot' type rating. Bascially it is abput half a PPL and conducted in accordance with a noraml PPL sylabus - just the student never completes the course or receives a PPL - but it is sufficient to allow the spouse to land . Don't see why it c...

Bundy perhaps worthwhile to take a look at what Mike is doing here: http://www.avcom.co.za/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=240

May be some scope to develop together - as the decision making being discussed is not isolated to the particular type flown.

Modding and locks

To be upfront and in perspective - I do have a significant involvement in that forum that you all like to bash so take the comments I have to make from where it comes. Now that is out of the way - locking of the Wave Skimming topic - may not send the correct message. It may be perceived that sensiti...

Re: Low Flying - Wave Skimming

I would compare the low level flying done along a beach to have the similar risk profile as flying your trike down the runway at 20 ft or less. (ala low level inspection or holding it down on the deck on a touch and go). In fact doing that is probably more 'dangerous' owing to air pockets/turbulence...

Great idea.

The downside - much like the Aero Club Safety initiative meetings - it will only be attended by those that don't 'need' it.
