Hi Larry
I'm so glad that things are finally coming together so nicely. I'm sorry I missed the first flight - would have loved to have seen it - so I will have a good look in Dec when I visit. Keep it up!

Solo!

vhpy vhpy vhpy vhpy Hey guys, I went solo today! +-12hrs dual and with lots of good pep-talk from LarryMcG on the ground, I managed to land without a hassle 8) The weather was calm during the dual circuit sessions and the sun was creeping on the horizon. Re: Student Pilot License

:) No probs. I contacted Colette this morning actually - she seems to think its easier to pay via cheque as they will have to first confirm an electronic payment before processing the documents. She recons this causes unnecessary delays. R310 made out to SA CAA & R150 to Van Zyl aviation. I hope thi...

Re: Student Pilot License

Hi - yup I totally agree with you. I'm about to send my documents to Colette on Monday next week. Thanks for clarifying the details though. Please clarify the payment method - if we need to pay via cheque, then who do we make them out to: 1) CAA = R310 2) van Zyl Avaiation = R150 ? I would prefer se...

Re: How many students on forum?

Hey Tracer - thanks very much. I'm close to 10hrs now and pretty happy with my performance so far. I've really had zero aviation exposure until I started the licence so it's all pretty new still. I've just started to get the hang of glide / engine-on landings now and did a couple of good ones on my ...
