Don't even know if the owners of the Gyro and Trailer has seen a sent of it. Tried to recover the...

Re: Accuracy of altimeter QNH settings

Very good question F Smallwood. I know what the altitude is at our manned earodrome. When ATC gives QNH it is about 120ft (also 4hPa) below what it should be (who am I to differ). Flying low level "above the surf" , I am actully submarining 60ft below according to altitude reading. Also SKYDAT syste...

Aquilla's wing off, almost ready for the roadtrip. They did a few laps on the taxiway (Unmanned) Myself thinks it would pull a sailer off a hooker in two ticks!

Nathaniel se raad vir haai-aanvalle die Desembervakansie

Om te voorkom dat 'n haai u byt, doen die volgende: Wenk nommer 1 : Moenie in die see swem nie. Ongeveer 100% van alle haai aanvalle gebeur in groot watermassas, beter bekend as DIE SEE. Proe aan die water. As dit soos sout smaak en as dit branders het, is jy in die see. Draai om en gaan le liewers ...

Re: EGT PROBLEM

They tend to wear after a while and one more than the other, I replaced one and there was a 40 degree difference between the 2 reedings, before also about 10 degrees difs, so if you replace, do both at the same time and even then it will not give exactly the same reeding. 10 to 12 degrees is only a ...

Re: Banner Towing

Thanks Barberton Sparkie. Found nothing on the snake formation flyers but found this: http://www.hanggliding.co.za/page8.html If I am not mistaken, there was a thread somewhere by Bundy regarding kloot piloot giving a workshop on flying this kind of weather. If you see the weather these ML Pilots mu...

Banner Towing

Is it possible to tow a banner behind a Microlight? A modification on the propeller hub maybe? I've seen a vidoe clip of microlights towing hangliders and then the glider releases the towing rope. Any ideas?

Re: Where is this - quiz for pilots

Yes kloot piloot, Rooikop just outside Walvis Bay. Went to play above the clouds/mistbank, took a dip in there now and again, quite exilirating. Took a picture as we drove home of cloud, top of mist was about 500feet. Will see tomorrow and take camera with, looks amazing, white as far as you can see...
