Re: Rotax 914 leaking oil thru air filter

After a steep pull up and then pitching forward and down you will experience negative g's(you get lighter in the seat) as will your engine and the oil contained therein.
No, No Negative G´s......... Only Positives

Hey guys, Sorry for my late reply. Well we clean the air filter, and remove all the oil in the turbo housing. We start the engine and there was no smoke. I fly it and use it for around 30 minutes and there was not oil smoke. I put the Magni in the hangar and leave it there to see if it leaking oil b...

Re: Rotax 914 leaking oil thru air filter

Hello Guys,

On my Magni Gyro, the Oil Tank is installed under the engine so I dont think the problem was related to flooding by gravity. Please check the pic.

Re: Rotax 914 leaking oil thru air filter

Did you see any other symptoms before the oil on the floor? Your engine smoking? Engine using excessive Oil? It is important for us, other 914 owners, to check and learn from you. Last time I use it was like a month ago. There was not smoking and oil level was OK. I also have a Aventura with a 912 ...

Hello Guys, Today I went to fly my Magni Gyro and to my surprise I see oil in the floor exactly under the turbo of the Rotax 914. Its look like the oil is dripping from the hose that goes from the turbo to the airbox. Also the air filter is completely wet in oil. I turn the prop by hand several time...

Question: Is the 912/914 not a certified aircraft engine?

1) Are we allowed to use aftermarket stuff on a certified engine?

Rotax sells NON Certified 912 and Certified 912

Mine is not certified

Re: Rotax 582 Stop in the Air :-(

Low level - My opinion here - yes the issue with the coil is what casued your power loss that day. The damage to the pistons wasn't. Whatever went through there did so quite a while before the coil stopped it short. Those marks were there for a long time as they are all carboned up already - they a...
