Re: Want to remove Rotax 582 autolube

Hi Induna,

Go and talk with Johan at saldaha. He will be able to help. I might add that the autolube system is dodgy if there is no oil in the tank. For the other occasions, they are pretty trust worthy.

When last did you replace your fuel filter? have you checked for any cracked pipes?

Re: Pressure - Windfinder vs W underground

The "/30" portion of the calc is because pressure drops by 1hpa per 30 feet ? That is correct. Also on the Aquilla if I pressed and held the "-" on the instument panel until alt reads "0", the pressure should read QFE, in this case around 866 ? Sharp Thanks. Yes. QFE is more used commercially so th...

Re: Pressure - Windfinder vs W underground

Hi Milo, What is the altitude of the place you are searching for. The 866 is the qfe or actual pressure on site given. To get QNH from there you do the following math: Altitude / 30 + QFE = QNH Eg. if you altitude is 4500ft. Your calc will be 4500 / 30 = 150 + 866 = 1016. That should give you the cl...

Re: flying in low visibility

- the axial rotation can be quantified from the rate of turn, and measured on the compass. If you knew how a compass works, you would know that it cannot be trusted in a turn as it has a lot of errors. Mine for instance is turning while taking off, and if I turn steep enough, I will stand still at ...

Re: Trike night flying

....the question should be....SHOULD it? Unfortunately NO! I have a Night Rating on my PPL. It can be done, and it has been done. The problem with it is that everybody will comply with all the rules, until that 1 guy wants to check his house at night for "security" purposes and someone decides that...

Re: PETROL FILTERS.......AGAIN!! But please look

Wow .... point taken. That little one on the right is is still bigger and of a better quality than some I have seen and used. What is the height of the GUD Filter? It may be a bit big for the trikes...... or is it? I don't think that the filter on the left can be used with 2 stroke premix, or can it?

Re: What's the newest on 4 stroke motors for trikes?

Check this out, I'm thinking of buying one! http://Www.vernermotor.eu -- the engine you want is the JCV360 it's cost is 3270 euro -- if you want fuel injection, add 800 euro!! Will definately consider their radial version when it's released!! Turbo, I don't think that the JCV360 is the engine to ha...

Re: Rotax 503 - Carb Needle setting??

Hi Martin, Are you sure your temps are correct? It is quite strange for your take off egt to be higher than your cruise egt. If they are reversed I would say that your engine is running quite well. I would not make to much of a fuss about cht. It all depend where the probe is fitted, and if not fitt...

Max rpm. 6400 for 5 min.
Max cruising 6000 rpm.

Do you have an operating manual? If not, I will send one to you. All data you need to know is in there.

Hi Leon,

Operating Manual says BR8ES.

Dont know the other plug, but rather stay with what ROTAX has defined for the motor.

Re: What is the correct prop for a Windlass, 503, B-Box?

Hi V, Contrary to popular belief, a coarser prop is the worst thing you can do. You will lose power on take off and climb, and your fuel consumption will climb as your engine will be 'working' harder all the time. Rather get a prop for max rev at 6600 and lift your carb needle one notch to cool down...
