Starter swings a cold engine,it engages. What amperage should the battery be. Have got a 10 Amp? at the moment. Hi We have a 582 blue top that doesnt want to start on cold winter mornings. Thats Newcastle at -2C. Battery is fully charged even have a small heater in-front of the engine while doing pre-flight and a cup of coffee. Pull it out the hangar and she refuses to start. Prop swing and she starts. NOTICE

Pilots who wish to land at Newcastle this weekend on route to Battlefields must please note that,
Work is being carried out on the first 300mtrs of runway 11. There is a vehichle taring the edges of the runway.
Please fly overhead and check!!!

Get your student licence at 16.
Go solo when your instructor lets you.
Get your licence at 17.
No passengers during the first year.

At the field at 04.15 but could see it was overcast. Did pre flight and had coffee in the hangar. 05.15 low cloud and fog with a light drizzel didnt look good. 06.00 clouds over mountains so no chance, road report looked no good either. 07.00 still no good breakfast at the wimpy instead. 09.30 could...

Please send Bennie some positive messages as he just phoned me and is seeing very DARK clouds everywhere.
His plane is fine, fuel is enough and hes not alone.

Talking about 582 blue top rpm? We have a cheetah with 582, P-prop72x52 and are at an altitude of 4100ft. Max take-off rpm 6000. Climb rate 250ft pm 2 up. Cruise level flight 5600rpm 80-85mph. Acording to all specs rpm should be much higher but have been flying her like this for the past 7 months. J...
