Re: Starting with training

Pardon the ignorance but,

How many hours required for Gyro Licence?

Can any PPL hours count towards Gyro licence or is the only thing you can carry forward your radio Licence?

Re: Pop Out Fuse

Phone Placo, they will be able to quote you.

Assume they will add tax, import duties(if they apply) and mark up, so you are most likely looking at around R220 to R250 each

Re: Loskopdam Microlight Strip Info Required

Guys that is part of the Loskop Nature reserve.

Dont think you are supposed to be flying lower than 1500AGL.

Best Contact Mpumalanga Tourism Board for their number or possibly Forever resorts Tel: +27 (0) 13 262 3075/6/7 I am sure they can put you onto someone who can give you more info.

Carbon instrument panel cutting.

I am in the process of redoing my instrument panel and have just finished making a carbon panel.

Does anyone have experience or know of companies in the gauteng area which can do waterjet cutting of instrument panels?

Re: Cubby Owners

VG's are fitted using a 3M double sided tape product.

It's a solvent-free acrylic adhesive that holds extremely well, but can be easily removed with no damage to the paint. It remains flexible, so can take a severe knock without breaking loose, but can be removed by a long steady hard pull.

Re: Cubby Owners

Just Thought I would share my latest project with my Cubby. I have always been intrigued with STOL flight, and from many articles I have read, it seems that one of the items which seemed to be at the top of the list and best bang for your buck was to install vortex generators. So after doing some se...
