Removing Aluminium Rust?

Howzit guys,

My rotax 582 is changing colour a bit. I think it's a form of aluminium rust. The aluminium is a darker gray in places. Does anyone know of anything that will remove this? Someone said ZEB oven cleaner? HUH!

It could be the bolt that secures the fibreglass battery box to the pylon on an Aquilla. It seems to sheer in a similar fashion after many rough landings.

Hi Dre'man,

The rubbers were replaced recently and are still soft. Not a single crack evident...... but I will check that they are secured properly. Thanks.
