Re: RIP John Miller...
While i had long respected John's pictures and writing in the various aviation magazines, I had the opportunity to meet him and his family for a much different reason. During the 2010 world cup they released a sticker book with all the players and he had posted on Avcom that they were looking for a ...

Re: Conversion on a Cobra
LOL,
I have never heard anyone say "yes" that fast.
Fear not, fellow aviators, The owl will return to the skies. He just had a few pressing bucket list items to tick off, one done, one to go in September.
Just need to get a renewal done now.

Not too long and Charlie Romeo will get airborne again, nothing wrong with the plane, just the pilot

Re: Glove Topic Again :-(
From a boots point of view Bundy, I have a pair of Croc boots. They have the usual rubber whatever bottoms, without the larney holes, but the ankles are fleece lined, nice and toasty with a pair of hiking socks, they have no seams so nowhere for the wind to go. (!!) The gloves are another story, hav...

Re: Flying jokes, quotes and chirps
One day the pilot of a Cherokee 180 was told by the tower to hold short of the active runway while a DC-8 landed. The DC-8 landed, rolled out, turned around, and taxied back past the Cherokee. Some quick-witted comedian in the DC-8 crew got on the radio and said, "What a cute little plane. Did you m...
