Trike wing Billow what causes it
I am aware that banking the trike wing causes billow on one side. One side of the wing fabric tightens and the other (upper?) loosens a bit. This changes the airofoil shape/camber generating more lift/drag on one side. Or because of the anhedral the lower wing vertical component of lift is less (opp...

Re: Keep pulling bar back in flight..?
Would the thrust line of the motor have anything to do with this? Maybe there has been a mod there.
Seems odd that the hang point is as far forward as it can go.
I would also think a topless with the correct trim would be a tad faster than 50mph.
Odd one this.

USB Stick - Found
I found this in the aircraft parking area at the Middelburg ALZU petro port on Saturday. It looks like it was dropped there a week or two ago.
After a cleanup it works.
Not my kind of music though
, so if the owner can identify what's on it they can have it back.
PM me...
Dave

Re: Breakfast at Boris Benic's - 16 December 2015
27 not cool. You will reach the threshold at around 6m agl, have to deal with rotors from the north westerly over the hangars and blue gums and probably reach touchdown halfway down the runway. At this time of year the threshold of 09 can be a bit muddy so you will backtrack through it. Also 27 will...

Rhodesian declaration of independence - 50 yrs ago today
Today 50 years ago at 11:00 hrs Ian Smith declared unilateral independence from the Uk.
Then the poo hit the fan.
We survived until 1980 and Bob Mugabe took the reigns and finally demolished the place.
No regrets except lost friends.
Hell people had kahoonas then.

Help - Charity United Cerebral Palsy Association
Hello Micolighters, Charity is generally not my style, there are too many of them and sometimes their motives are a bit suspect. Also I don’t feel my contribution makes a dent. I have been involved with this group for a while, and now our Govt seems to have left the party. Just a suggestion but mayb...

Re: Breakfast at Borris 7 March
I have cut a 35 minute DVD of the day, I have most of the arrivals, radio calls and departures as well as some good photos taken by Barend. Drop me a PM if you want a copy, I'll run off +-10 copies - Tailwinds can pass Alan's copy around. Collection's an issue but I am sure a plan can be made. (prob...

What radio are you using in your trike?
I am looking for a handheld to install in the trike (and to listen to at home when the bulls are playing vhpy) Must be powered by the trike, (battery is backup) so needs a dc feed. Reasonable battery life with spares availability. 121.5 selection push button 2nd channel monitoring 124.8 would be goo...

2 stroke oil for ratex again.

I found Total super 2 stroke 5 litres for R175 at otk afgri.
Checked the specs and its ok for the 503 and 582. This works out at 17.50 per 500ml.

My last purchase from Total was R42 for 500ml.
Mega saving if you decant.

Re: Investing on the stock exchange
Thanks Gents for the feedback, Shares dropped by around 5% since my original post. I wasn't specific when I started this thread. I noted a NZ response which has since disappeared. I am looking at short term returns and not a longer term balanced investment. Check out the big resource companies impac...

Investing on the stock exchange
There's a saying that goes "Buy when there's blood running in the streets" The stock exchange is very depressed at the moment and I want to invest now. It has to turn around at some point. Are there any boffins out there that can give some advice on how to do this without incurring massive broker fe...
