Re: Something from the land of the Leprechauns
   Awesome, gotta love the Irish. Along the same lines...... Seamus was giving Paddy a ride on the pillion of his bike on a brisk autumn day. After a while, Paddy began to holler ... ” Seamus ... Seamus ... the wind is cutting me chest out! I'm freezing back here”. “Well, Paddy my lad...

Re: Highest Altitude/Level in a trike?
If I am going somewhere, then high is good, better TAS, smooth ride, navigation is a breeze, you can see for a zillion miles, better fuel consumption, although I guess that does not count for a trike, unless you had some form of mixture control, or vacuum carbs that compensate for altitude. I like h...

Re: Some Old Pilot Sayings
Never run out of altitude, airspeed and ideas at the same time. Airspeed, altitude and common sense, a minimum of two are required to successfully complete the flight. The most useless thing in aviation is runway behind you, altitude above you and fuel in the bowser. It is far better to fly the airc...

AIP, from CAA, cheap enough, R400 for the complete up to date set, incl first years updates. And if anybody can also please give me a link to where I can get more detailed information regarding all the FAD's and FAR's in SA,
Amazes me how it is that pilots don't have them.

Re: Conversion from PPL Fix wing to Weight Shift
Squirrel, I can only echo what has been said, as John pointed out, it is all easy enough to fly backwards and upside down, so to speak when everything is in the box and you have time to think it through. It is when you have to act instinctively that you will find yourself pulling, rather than pushin...

What is the DC output at around 3000rpm?
You will probably find it will climb to an acceptable 13.7V

Re: Silencer or No Silencer?
Just another take on the topic; Why pizz off the non flying public with a noisy aerie and invite more rules and regulations an make life even more difficult than it has to be? Buzzing around, making a racket on a Sunday morning is hardly going to endear the sport of recreational aviation to the gene...
