Re: Brand New 12.5M Topless REVO Wing for sale

Price reduced. This wing is taking up space and needs to go. Its brand new, safely stored and will accept reasonable offers on it. I paid R70k for it, and would consider offers around the R50k mark, which is a bargain. New this wing costs R120000.

Trike Project for Sale

This trike project was started a few years ago, but my flying business has moved in a different direction. I no longer have the time or interest to complete the trike. The design takes aspects from various trikes, Antares, Revo, a Russian trike as well as the South African Scout. The trike frame was...

Re: What age

The key here is safety. If you are talking about a closed cockpit aerie, there is no real issue. I have flown with my daughter since she was a year old in the Mooney, with cotton wool in the ears, and now that she is 2 she wears a headset, and absolutely loves the flying. We fit her car seat in the ...

Earth X Ultralight Lithium batteries

Anybody interested in fitting a much lighter battery onto their trike/LSA, please have a look at this product, http://www.earthxmotorsport.com. These are Lithium Phosphate batteries that weigh 80% less than standard lead acid batteries. I am putting an order together to bring some out from the US, d...

Re: New Radical STOL aircraft to help anti-poaching

I tend to agree that a trike probably has the best visibility, and is more affordable to buy & run than many of the STOL fixed wings. However, it also has it's limitations too, such as strong winds and severe turbulence. It's not fun flying a trike in these conditions & often if flying a patrol etc,...

Re: What's the newest on 4 stroke motors for trikes?

Craig, sorry for the extra $$$ I cost you,  but I am glad you listened to me. vhpy The engine will now be much easier to make a streamlined cowling for. What is the redrive ratio? When will your Bobber be finished? Boet, we have done two ratios, one being 2.23:1 and the other around the ...

Re: What's the newest on 4 stroke motors for trikes?

Hey Turbo, you had me worried there for a minute..went & checked, actually paid that for 3 moulds, I see. Two BH moulds and the rear engine mount. Vernon, yes, the engine is much bulkier than a 582 or other engine that many guys fly on trikes. I don't believe it's too bulky or heavy for a trike, as ...

Re: What's the newest on 4 stroke motors for trikes?

Having been involved for the past 2 years in the development of an aviation engine for light aircraft, I have come to understand the complexities and time involved in a development of this nature. The responsibility you carry as a developer/seller is enormous, as the implications of an engine failur...
