I'm actually considering building a fairing, I had good practice when I crashed my bike and had to rebuild the fairing. That was over 14 years ago.

The nice thing about a fairing there is more space on the instrument panel to mount a GPS and other toys than on a Banana pod.

Also try and get something with a big flash we purchased a canon Power Shot A700 great camera all the bell and whistles but small flash we use it for the casino functions and conferencing photos anything less than 4 meters at night great further than that darkness the cameras with the pop up flashes...
